Beyond Tourism: A Journey of Purpose

Step into a role that matters. Over 8 days, you will transition from a visitor to a builder—restoring Northern communities by day and exploring the mystical heritage of Tzfat by night. Whether you’re a Birthright/Masa alum or a first-time traveler, this is your chance to leave a lasting mark on Israel.

Program Overview

  • Hands-On Impact

    Mornings spent restoring bomb shelters, community buildings, and homes along the Northern border. Work 4–6 hours daily alongside professionals.

  • Nature & Heritage

    Nature hikes, tours through historic sites, plus workshops like Art & Kabbalah and Music & Meditation. 

  • Immersive Shabbat

    Unplug and reconnect with a full Shabbat experience. Includes home-style meals, musical Kabbalat Shabbat, yoga/meditation workshops, and a soulful Havdallah.

LOGISTICS

  • Campus & Meals

    Stay in shared, authentic rooms (2–4 people) in the heart of the Old City. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily; dinner is your time to explore local Tzfat. All meals included on Shabbat.

  • Getting Around

    Daily transportation from Tzfat to all volunteering sites and activities is included.

    Note: Travel insurance and airport transfers are not included.

Pricing Information

Ages 21–40: $250 | Ages 41+: $1,500

This special rate for young adults includes the full program, historic campus housing, and the $50 registration fee. These programs are made possible through the generous support of donors who subsidize the cost for the next generation.

Note: Airfare and travel insurance are required separately.

Take a break from your busy touring schedule and join us for a meditation session, bake challah in an ancient oven and explore Kabbalah while creating art with a local artist.

Our workshops are open to people of all ages, families or singles, and groups of all sizes.

    Experience the ancient craft of bread-making at Beit HaKahal. Use our 500-year-old stone oven to bake, taste, and uncover the tactile secrets of Jewish history.

    A creative journey into Kabbalistic form. Explore the spiritual meaning behind every hue and create a personal work of art rooted in ancient wisdom.

  • Music and Meditation

    Discover spiritual connection through sound. Experience live musical meditation designed to inspire, reflect, and open the heart.

  • Musical Kabbalat Shabbat

    Welcome Shabbat on the Livnot balcony overlooking Mount Meron. Experience a sunset journey of uplifting melodies, joyful community, and the timeless spirit of Tzfat.
