Livnot U'Lehibanot

To Build & To Be Built

Alumot

Alumot is a Livnot U’Lehibanot initiative designed to keep Jewish adults connected to Jewish values, community, and action. This social venture harnesses the energy of Israel experiences through meaningful, locally led programs that foster personal growth, learning, and community engagement. Alumot creates opportunities to build lasting connections through our 3 core activities: Shabbat dinners, guided nature hikes, and community service projects.

Alumot events are geared towards alumni of Israel experiences, aged 21-40 years old.

Spend Passover at Livnot — on the land, with community, and with purpose.

This is a week that blends hiking, touring, Jewish experiential learning, and a shared holiday experience. Days are active and hands-on; evenings are relaxed, thoughtful, and full of conversation.

During the week you’ll:

  • Hike through the mountains, forests, and valleys of the Galilee

  • Take part in a warm, communal Passover Seder

  • Volunteer locally

  • Cook and share meals together

  • Join workshops and open discussions

  • Explore spirituality and personal reflection in an open, welcoming setting

  • Meet participants from around the world

  • Have time to unplug and step out of routine

Who it’s for:
Jewish young adults ages 21–40 — especially those with little or no formal Jewish educational background — who are curious, thoughtful, and looking for space to explore, give back, ask questions, and connect.

Cost:

$250 for eligible participants. Includes accomotations, all activities, and 2 meals per day. Transportation to and from Tzfat not included.

(Our programs are highly subsidized thanks to generous donors.)

Come for Passover. Leave with new friends, memories, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Shabbaton

Shabbat Retreats & Shabbatonim in Tzfat

Livnot U’Lehibanot offers Shabbat retreats in Tzfat for young adults (ages 21–40) looking for a meaningful, accessible Shabbat experience in Israel. Our co-ed Shabbatonim combine meditation, music, Jewish learning, and time in nature — all in a relaxed, come-as-you-are environment.

Each Shabbat retreat includes guided discussions on spirituality and Kabbalah (no prior background needed), shared meals and optional host-family experiences, yoga and meditation, hikes in the Galilee, and a musical Havdallah to close Shabbat together. Programs are based in the Old City of Tzfat, where history, creativity, and spiritual life are part of the everyday setting.

These Shabbatonim are designed for people who are curious, open, and looking to slow down — whether you’re visiting Israel, living here, or extending a longer trip.

The subsidized price for a Shabbaton is $100 for Thursday night to Saturday night.

One Day To Rebuild

Join us in our mission to rebuild homes, hearts, and futures, making a difference for Israel’s communities impacted by the war. From Kiryat Shemona to the Gaza border, together we can transform tragedy into triumph and emerge stronger than ever.

Since October 7th, we have proudly completed 250 projects across 32 communities with the help of our dedicated volunteers—and there are many more to come.

In today’s busy world, we understand that not everyone can dedicate a week or two to volunteering. That’s why we’ve launched our "Day of Volunteering," making it easier for everyone to take part in making a real difference.

Join us and discover for yourself why past participants have said, “This is the build that built me!”
